There is tiny island off the coast of the Algarve, Portugal called Armona. Everything there is small and a bit magical. Except the storms which were big and loud. as the Atlantic Christmas winds wrapped themselves around our shack-like accomodation and blew the rain in through the shutters, I wrapped myself up in blankets and learned to paint smaller.
